RABONA #2: World Cup Issue featuring David Silva

RABONA is a new independent football magazine from the UK. Second issue is just out, right on time for the World Cup. Next to a good cover and a sharp design, the build up of the magazine is executed quite well. Eight chapters.
The issue starts with "Equipment"-  footballs, t-shirts and t-shirt logo's of international teams reviewed. Chapter two consists of short features on players. Chapter three profiles all World Cup nations with short interviews with football writers from these 32 countries.

Chapter four is for the interviews; Juan Mata, Salomon Kalou, Ross Barkley and David Silva.
Fifth chapter is especially good "Six players that can shape the world cup"- short introductions about the players with some nicely drawn portraits.

Chapter six deals with the politics behind the World cup with a large article on the controversy around the World Cup in Brazil.
The last chapter is called Tribute and this time it goes to Colombian player Andres Escobar who was shot dead 20 years ago for scoring an own goal in the World Cup.

Rabona call themselves A magazine for the erudite football fan. It's the perfect addition to this football summer.
