STIK #26: a beautiful handmade zine

STIK #26 arrived this week at the Newscentre: an oblong-shaped, handmade zine from Zwolle, limited to 170 numbered copies. Editors Almas Pieters and Sigrid Spier call the magazine a flat gallery: it provides a platform for artists to show their work and have interactions with other artists.
The four artists in issue 26 are spread across the magazine so the work is next to each other and comes back again. Erik de Bree's wallpaper paintings collide with Marike Pool's collages of found photographs. Poet Bouwe Brouwer submits a haiku that seems to piece the different visuals together: abandoned beach house / slowly the dunes / move in.
