GIRLS AGAINST GOD #2: reclaim the witch!

Girls Against God was created by Bianca Casady and Anne Sherwood Pundyk last year and the first issue they released of their future feminism magazine was quite a big hit in the indie magazine scene. It took a while before the second issue came out, but it's worth the wait. The editors changed the size of the magazine and the paper, the previous issue was printed on offset with colour and more drawing, this new issue is a pocket sized booklet printed in black and white.

Issue two investigates witchcraft and has contributions from the two editors plus other artists and writers like usual suspect Melanie Bonajo. Photography, illustration, performance, poetry, essay and short stories.

We spoke with the Girls Against God last year, this interview is here.

We wanted to create an art object that our readers could hold in their hands and pass to their friends - spread the news in a tangible way.  We hope the magazine is a catalyst for change, even if it first takes the form of small acts of personal rebellion.
