The queer and cinema magazine Little Joe from London is one of our favourite zines in the shop. This summer they organise movie nights: The Little Joe Clubhouse. Together with these nights they published a reader with 25 essays by the curators of the nights. They explain why they chose their film.
Scott Treleaven talks about the short films by Derek Jarman from 1986 that accompanied The Smiths' record The Queen is Dead. "Somehow I instinctively felt that I wasn't looking at a music video, but glimpsing part of an unfamiliar and alluring world."
The reader is a beautiful small booklet, with two colour print on recycled paper held together by an elastic band. A Great Print As Usual!
