I know this blog is mainly about magazines, but these books are two little illustrated treasures in the Athenaeum Nieuwscentrum that they deserve a place on this blog.
In the Wilds is a book full of colorful abstract illustrations of Nigel Peake. He divides different landscapes into small pieces that each has its own texture and shapes. “To let things wander, to collect, and rearrange.”
Far Out isn’t Far Enough, Life in the back of beyond is a book by the famous illustrator, designer and author Tomi Ungerer. I tells the story of a couple that makes a new life from the big city to the middle of nowhere.
