In the category of books about magazines we received a new one today: Behind the Zines: Self-Publishing Culture. An inspiring collection of examples and interviews with editors, designers and publishers. In many cases in this field that's just one person. The passion, the inspiration and the motivation to make a magazine. Who said that magazines are dead? Jeremy Leslie was right when he stated that magazines are not dead at all, there's just not enough place for copying formats, there's lots of space for originality and great ideas. We have many of these mags in our store, and will certainly have a close look at those we don't have (yet) order now

Connecting the Dots Magazine is about Dutch design that is presented in Milan during the Milan Design Week, held from Tuesday 12 till Sunday 17 April 2011. Besides a description of the Dutch presentations, the magazine contains several maps indicating the locations of the Dutch Exhibitions. Connecting the Dots also serves as a guidebook and includes a number of articles on design in the Netherlands and elsewhere. The magazine also pays considerable attention to sustainable design from the Netherlands.
